Learn to lead Rock climbing course – Outside
Extend your Knowledge.
You are now hooked on climbing “top rope” indoors. You are ready to learn to climb on real rocks, oudoors. This introduction intensive course is for you!.
- Course Content: Using and understanding a guide book, Abseiling Drill, Correct use of sport climbing equipment, Belaying, Lead climbing, Threading anchors, Communication, Basic understanding of outdoor risk, Building confidence, Plan B rescue plan if you need to retreat
- Requirements: Must have some rock climbing experience.
- Duration: Full day
- Start time: 08.30am – 5pm
- Includes: rock climbing boots, harness, backpack, technical gear and mountain guide
- Not Included: Overnight accomodation, Transport from Interlaken

Get started, learn the basic indoor, rock climbing and safety techniques. Whether you are starting out or just want to improve your climbing technique, we can help you enjoy and excel!

- Age limit: From 10 years of age to ageless
- Duration: Full day 08.30.am – 5pm
- Includes: Rock climbing boots, harness, helmet,backpack, technical gear and your mountain guide
- What to bring: picnic lunch, energy bars, water, suncream,sunglasses and a camera
- Where to meet: Swiss Alpine Guides Base – Interlaken or as arranged
- Free Transfers: we will pick you up free of charge from your hotel/hostel in the Interlaken area, or from Interlaken Ost railway station
- Safety: All our tours are led by qualified IVBV, UIAA, SBV Mountain guides
Multi-Pitch Rock Course – Sustenpass
All climbing and technical equipment included – 2 day intensive
Would you like to progress and climb longer routes?
During a 2-day intensive course, our mountain guides will teach you the most modern multi-pitch climbing techniques, self- belaying systems, abseil safety, plus reading and understanding topos.
- Requirements: Must be able to lead or climb, at least grade 4c – 5a.
- Season: June – September
- Duration: 1 – 2 days
- Start time: to be confirmed
- Includes: rock climbing boots, harness, backpack, technical gear and mountain guide
- Not included: Overnight accomodation
